Efficient day

Another cold, white day

It's not often you spend 6h in school on a Sunday. But that was exactly what Malin, Karin and i did today from 10am. We were very efficient and got all the work done we needed.
I went to the gym after so i'm mildly said pretty exhausted now. I still have some reading, about how to write for movies (!), to get done but it will go quick. Then it's just cuddling up in the bed with a hot cup of tea and a desperate housewives episode i need to end this day. Oh and it's a new month tomorrow, yeeey!

Nice winter walk when the sun finally show itself for a couple of hours. Me, Karin and Malin needed a studybreak and some fresh air. Jeez it was cold! Couldn't move my fingers after a while and it felt like my nose was about to fall off...

Some girls in my class had a house warming party last night ant it was a 50's theme. We all did our best to dress up like the "grease"-cast. I almost didn't have anything except high waste pants and a tucked in shirt but i think it worked. Me and a couple of other girls had a pre party and mad etacos together. Apparently the other party was a pre party aswell but at the time everyone was ready for going out to a night club i was ready for going to bed. Maybe i'm starting to get old. Or maybe i just don't want to ruin the next day by getting up to late.

It seems that everyone always is looking forward to different things. Coming home from work, the weekend, a vacation, finish school etc. I was thinking as i walked to school that i don't mind my life right now. Sure I would like to have Chris here with me or less schoolwork or more money. But I shouldn't spend my days looking forward to things instead of appriciate time right now. But one thing i can't help but miss and look forward to is the sun, the warm, glowing sun. I whish i was back in Tulum or Fiji or Greece or any worm place. Or maybe just here with just a bit more sunlight, less snow and definitely less darkness.

This is the 8th week we have snow on the ground and i can honestly say i'm starting to get tired of it. It's been snowing the whole night and the whole evening and it hasn't stopped yet. It's funny how happy people get of the snow in december and how everyone hates it now. It's that christmas spirit which gets to everyone then. But now we're noly looking forward to see the warm nice sun shine again!

I love vegetables, i really do. I know it's good for you and everything but regardless i think i rather eat vegetables the rest of my life then only meat or only carbs. Weird? I guess so. Then a fika (coffee and cake) with a good friend kind of weighs up the good with the bad after.

God, i'm so tired...This whole bike incident have made me incapable of sleeping...
I should study some more business before bed but it's really hard focusing tonight. It's not that i have to do anything but it's just that i know how much schoolwork there is to come in the near future and it's always good to be prepared.
We're going to have 3 projects and one of them is for the whole semester. Everyone had to do a personality test just to find groups that could work well together. I became a leader so i'm now officially the projectleader for my group. It's fun and i really like the other 3 in the group. It's gonna be a fun semester, probably very busy too...

Angry!

Somebody stole my bike last night! I'm so angry! I had i locked outside Fanny's apartement and someone just took it. I've been walking around everywhere today looking for it. I called the police but i haven't got to much hope. I loved that bike. It was a he and i always gave him a little pat on the back if i walked past him....

Brownies!

I've been studying, cleaning, doing laundry and baked brownies today. It's time for some fun now. Bringing my brownies and some wine to Fanny for a night out with the girls.

Time for tea

To cuddle up in the bed with a nice cup of tea when it's wet and slushy outside is the perfect way to end a day. Especially if this was the first time in a month you woke up before 7am to go to school and your boyfriend left for working 12h from where you live. Yes a nice cup of tea is all you need (almost).

Last day for me and Chris together for a while and we spend it watching dvd's, cleaning and shopping. I bought a suitcase, a plant and some pillows.
First day of school tomorrow after the break and i'm excited! Not so excited leaving Chris but time will probably fly for both of us.

Finally! Not having sushi for almost a 9 months is a loooong time. This plate only cost 170kr (23 dollars) and was enough for both of us. Only one day left now with Chris before he's take off...

I've started a new blog. It has much better quality then this one but it's trickier to design. I have to work with css-kodes which i'm not very familiar with. I'm not going to update that one as often as this one as I'm only going to put my best photos, school work and so on there. A little bit lika a portfolio. It's going to be in Swedish but if you're not a native Swede you can try my translation button down the right menu.
The blog is called kort och gott which is pictures and goodies - like all my recipes of baked goods =)
I've been working alot on all the travelling photos this week. I think they turned out pretty well. What do you think?

Good but sad news

Chris just found out that he is going to start working in Norrland for the same company as before but in another position. Good news except that they want him to start on Monday. Not so much for telling in advance. I'm going to miss him like crazy now after living together for 2,5 month. Buhuu...

Philip send me these wise words written by the Dalai Lama as a christmas gift from India. I put it up on the wall in hope that i might read it once in a while and reflect upon my life and how furtunate I am. I wonder why Philip thought I would need these worlds..."expand my heart to others"..."not going to get angry"..."have kind thought toward others"...=)

Wait a minute...

I just red what i wrote here earlier and i realized that it's quite funny how i suddenly find a 6h drive extremly long after travelling in Asia for up to 40h on trains and buses on the worst roads you can imagen. Not to think about the cages with chickens, constantly staring men, puking children and 3h long stops in the middle of nowhere without explanations; that you have to put up with. Here i freak out if the bus is 20 min late. Over there it's more likely the bus will be 3-6 h late. But i guess everything is different when you're home, back in the punctual reality.

Sleeping bed. Your lucky if you get the top one because if you don't you'll probably end up having illegal train riders sitting on you during the night.

We arrived in Delhi on my birthday after a 40h train ride (not the same as above). This time we acctually ended up next to a nice Indian familly. I think both of the young girls got a crush on Chris.

Chinese trains are an upgrade. People are serving you tea and classical music is playing in the morning.

My favourite busrides is the one on the top of buses, like here in Nepal. The most thrilling ones are also the most dangerous ones. Nepal have the most bus accidents per capita in the world.

The roads in western Tibet is not great. Count
on getting at least 5h late.

Chris looks happy but this is probably the worst busride i've ever done. 35 h on a horrible, dirty, bumby bus going from 1200m above sealevel in western China to 5200m in western Tibet. A German guy died doing this illegal trip the year before. I had never herd about altitiude sickness. I have now.

I'm really tired and could probably go to bed straight away but packing up and making food is on the top of the schedule. Then i've also promised my driver a massage...

Last day in strömstad

Last day in Strömstad and negative -25° outside. Me and Chris went to a flee market and almost frooze to death on the way there! We also almost bought a wooden spoon but decided not to for some reason. We've been working on Chris website when we really should have been packing for Norrköping tomorrow. I baked this deliciuos dajmcake and we opened presents Philip had sent from India.

Time is on my hands...

Cleaning, baking bread and muffins, running with Isa, editing photos....and watching desperate housewives. There's 5 seasons to go through so i don't have to be worried i'll ran out of episodes.

After 3 weeks of holiday I'm so ready to go back to school again. There's another 10 days before it starts but me and Chris are probably going back to Norrköping on Saturday. I've been baking (a normal sign that i'm pretty bored), writing a CV and working on my new blog today. Blogg.se have a much better quality for photos then blogspot.com does. I'm still going to have this one but i'll put up my best photos/schoolwork on the other one.

Me and Chris went cross country skiing on the golf corse today. It was beautiful, i just love beeing outside when it's like this! Chris said after that "it wasn't his thing" but i'm not giving up - he will like it one day!

Took a walk around the harbour just before sunset. Very beautiful but cold. Earlier today me and my parents went skiing. Don't know how long this snow will last but we better enjoy it while it last.

Celebrated New Years Eve with Johanna and Robin in Grebbestad. Nice, quiet evening with good food and company. Johannas new puppy Heidi was supercute and very energetic.
