Just got back from leaving my parents at the Houston airport. They had a busy 9 days stay here were we've been visiting Austin, San Antonio, Houston and New Orleans.
One of the best things about their visit was how well they got along with Chris' parents. They even did things on their own as going to a NBA game, visiting jazz clubs and playing tennis.
Chris parents are planing a trip to Norway and Sweden in july and all of us are really looking forward to their stay!

It's evening now and in the morning i will leave Chris for about 3,5 weeks of traveling in central america with my brother. It feels really strange as the two of us literally has spend every (almost hour) day together for the last 6 months. But Chris can spend all this time climbing in different locations without worrying about me getting bored (though i really enjoyed climbing myself in the end).

Next time i write i will be somewhere in central america. So long until then!

Happy birthday to me!

Pretty awesome when your parents travel to the other side of the
world t
o greet you with a homemade strawberry cake! Did manage to escape the traditional
waking up
ritual with birthday singing and cake while still in bed...
Well 23 do sound better then 22, but it also sounds like
i should have accomplished more then finishing high school and surfing around the world for God knows how many years now..
I would like to point out that i've seen incredible places and met incredible people who have been effecting me and who i am today in a lot of different ways.
Who could have thought a couple of years ago that me and my parents would celebrate my 23rd birthday with an American family in Texas??!

I will post some photos of their visit here later on (we still have New Orleans on the schedule).
I also have to start thinking about my next trip with my brother to Central America in 5 days.
Just one more thing; seems like me and the Oscar jury have the same taste in movies;p

Monday

My age will take a tremendous step up from 22 to 23 next monday.
Things to wish for??
Except that i want the new mac book, a trip to Japan! or a a personal sushi chef! okey a sushi set and black adidas sneakers and of course chocolate, always chocolate!

I would love to make up my mind about what to study to...
I know the clock is ticking, i don't have so much thinking time left...tick tack...

What else has happened this weekend..
We've played tennis and my forehand is finally starting to have an higher percentage inside to court. Chris made tuna steak for me on valentines day which turned out really good.
We went to the cinema and watched the movie New in town with Renee Zellweger...
It is awful! Do not see it!
The acting is bad, the script poorly made and the jokes are not funny.
Renee is not especially attractive. Which hasn't stopped the director from making way to many close ups on here face...

If you haven't seen the movie A slumdog millionare,
 se it!
It's the best movie this year! For me, this is really life in India (except that there is no happy ending) all the dirt, crowds, cows, colours...
Everything from the acting to the photography to the music is great.

My parents arrive here in Houston in 2 days. It will be like a hotel for them staying in Chris parents gigantic house. It's pretty funny though as my parents always been a bit anti America... They did love New York but i bet Texas and the deep south is different. I do think they both will be surprised how much they like it here, especially since they visit in the winter when the weather is fantastic and not unbearable as the summer (i've heard).

Will go climbing now, have some V2's to conquer in the climbing gym and then dinner at one of the best sushi restaurants i've ever been!

It's valentines day tomorrow!

Chris mum has bought loads of valentines m&m's. The jar was full two days ago...

But i have to admit i'm pretty sick of little pink hearts by now. Might be because the advertising started 2 weeks to early...
There just have to be something to celebrate all the time. I bet i will find chickens and easter egg in the shop windows next week...
In America it seems that the guy have to buy dinner for his girl AND an expensive gift. The gentle man still excist, yeei! I was getting worried that i have to put out my own chair, take of my coat and step out of the horse wagon without anyone holding my hand!
The american girl has a pretty sweet life. As soon she find a husband to support her she can do whatever she wants. i know it's not that easy but that's the dream for sure. Oh did i mention she wants a big house, a big car and a huge wedding?! The wedding should be before she gets 28 because she wants kids by the age of 29 and 31, first a boy and then a girl....
Well, that's the stereo type. Of course there's plenty of other girls wanting totally different things.

Colorado snowboard trip

Chris, Clint and Julie in Wolf creek

Just got home (home as in Chris home in Houston, Texas) from a snowboard trip in Colorado and we had a great time. It was me, Chris and one of his best friends Clint and his wife Julie. The ski resort was called wolf creek and was a pretty small one in the south of the state. It was small, but there was almost no people so we could pretty much just run up and down the slopes.
we just bought me a new snowboard and it was great! so much better then my last one. I could finally go much faster and it almost never cought any edges.
To bad it's a year to the next ski trip, maybe in norway...or the french alps!

Will post some photos too but not now as chris just made a oven roasted chicken for his mom's birthday (i'll make salmon for her tomorrow). Oh and we played tennis today and it was so fun! I'm so glad i took all those tennis lessons (against my will sometimes) as a kid.

Getting started

So i've finally created my own blog or at least starting to..

My first thought was to write in swedish which would be easier for me as i am way more fluent in that than english. But after thinking a bit more i decided to try out in english and as i don't want to look in the dictionary the whole time just try to live with some miss spellings and wrong expressions. I will not garanty there wont be any swedish words because i'm sure it will...

Enough about in which language i should write and not write in..
