Last day of summer?

Starting the day with a bowl of fruit before going to work. The sun is shining but it might be the last day, not of sun but of warm weather. Or acctually it's not especially hot anymore. The air is crispy and it gets cold during the nights. Maybe the summer has come to an end in Norrland...

Hours of cooking has come to an end. All the food boxes are labeled and placed in the freezer. It became 34 but i'll pretend it's 30 just for the number.
There was no problem with my lever spots as i had expected but i guess it was a good thing getting them checked.
Also i've bought a birthday present for my mum + christmas presents for both my parents. So nice to be done with that as i'm only gonna meet them one time before christmas (and probably the summer).

I have now only about 4 food boxes left. I also decided to make 30 chocolate balls and 30 cinnamon buns. I don't think the worst thing is the actually cooking but the cleaning afterwards. By the time he gets home there shouldn't be any trace of cooking what so ever.
We rented the movie couples retreat yesterday, mostly because i was curious about the Swedish actress Malin Åkerman. It was okey, not great, but had a couple of funny parts.
I'm going to have my liver spots checked today. Not that i think i have anything but more to calm my hypochondriac boyfriend!

Robyn

I've been taking a break from cooking, laundry and cleaning and enjoyed the fact that the only place in Sweden were the sun is shining is right here. I've played Robyn's album Body Talk pt.1 over and over again while laying in the sun. Robyn is probably the best artist Sweden got right now.

One of the gifts i was planing to give to Chris for his 30th birthday is 30 frozen dinners. I made meat loaf today and got about 4 boxes to freeze out of it. I've made 12 in total so far and i don't think he have noticed anything. He's usually not reading my blog so i really hope he doesn't do it this week.I'm off work tomorrow so i will have time for some more cooking! I will try to put up photos of the food i make...

Sunday evening

It was so nice weather yesterday! Chris went climbing and i sunbathed in the window while listening to music and talking on the phone. Then in the evening we went home to Anastasia and her husband Tommy's place. They grilled pork tenderloin and had mushroom sauce with it. I brought a bulgur salad with orange, apricots and nuts and for dessert Anastasia had made carrot cake. Then she showed us her work shop because she's a glas artist. It was so many beautiful things and a got a ring with a glas stone that she had made. Really nice evening!

Me and Chris decided to drive to Umeå for the weekend as we both had the whole weekend off. It turned out to be a gorgeous day with 25 celsius degrees. We went to the farmers market, did some shopping, ate delicious lunch, walked around and sat in the park. We ate dinner at a supernice Spanish restaurant. Then the plan was to see a movie but there was no good ones playing so suddenly we decided to drive back to Lycksele instead and luckely only chris had had a beer so i could drive. Really, really nice day after all!

Friday night

Me and Chris are spending an quiet Friday night at home. We ate dinner at Anastasia and her husband Tommy's place yesterday which was really nice. Chris is really tired and after working at Lindex and having coffee with a girl from work i'm fine staying at home. Just made a fennel seed dish for the first time. Cooked it in the oven with goat cheese and had meatballs and beets with it. We kind of celebrated Chris driving license. He passed the written exam and the driving exam yesterday. Now it's only 1,5 years left until he can apply for swedish citizenship and can work in the rest of Europe!

Scam!

Me and another pharmacy student is looking for an apartment to rent together after christmas and i got in contact with a guy who had a big central apartment for a very cheap rent. He wrote (in english) that he had moved to London with his wife and needed someone relieble to look after his apartment while he was gone a couple of years. It did sound too good to be true but i still wrote to him. He toled me the key was with him in London and that he would send it as soon as i payed, a deposition + the first month of rent, by the western union. Yeah right! I googled it and found at that this is a new scam which is really growing in Sweden especially among student who can be desperate for a place to live. I called the police and gave them all the details. It's a small chance they will catch him but at leats i've done what i could!

We ate this last night and i had garlic in both the soup and on the bread. Guess what? I woke up feeling much better! Walnuts, cocktail tomatoes, mushrooms and garlic. Soup is sooo underestimated!

Chris got sick after our trip back home on the train. He thinks it was the coughing girl behind him who caused it. Anyway i got really sick on Monday. Had fever, bad throat, body aching....I still went to work today. I was pretty weak but managed the whole day. I felt okey in the evening and made scones and tea and then broccoli soup with a feta cheese cream. I'm going to get better now!

Another Saturday in Lycksele

After working at the hotel during the morning i took a blanket and a book and went to the park for a couple of hours. In the evening Anastasia from my work at Lindex came to our apartment for some homemade sushi and wine. We had a great evening and as Anastasia comes from Russia, a country both of us wants to visit, were there tons of things to talk about. Nice to have a girl over for a change. She is going to start studying in Uppsala aswell so i will probaby see alot more of her!

Lindex

So i've been working at Lindex for the last couple of weeks. Lindex is a clothing shop most famous for their underwear and cosmetics. 10 years ago their clothes were mainly designed for older women and i almost never found anything. I've been so suprised about how much more younger their clothes is today. They've been changing their tarket group which really has been paying off. I talked to some of my friends about it and they agree.
Anyway what i was going to say is that i will be working at Lindex even in Uppsala. Just some weekend a month to get some extra cash. Don't know how much more my study allows as i'll visit or get visited by Chris at least once a month aswell.
