Last project completed!

Electrolux Animal Rapido (designed my Malin)

School's over and i have only 2 days left in Norrköping. We had our last presantation today and it went great! We were trying to market our vacuum cleaner designed to remove animal hair. It was for the marketing course and i must say that i've really enjoyed it! We also got our exam results back and i did really well. To bad i'm going to quit.

Games you can play in a car

One of our assignements right now is to make an illustration for a news paper about a summer sport or a summer activity. I choosed to illustrate 3 kids in the back of a car and tips to parents how to make the car journey to the vacation spot as pleasant as possible. I wrote 5 games wich will keep the kids occupied. It's not very complicated but illustrations in news paper not very often are.

We're done with our big project for this semester! We will on friday print 2000 12-pages pamphlets and 2000 4-pages Folders for our copany Världsbutiken. We got very good reviews from our teachers and our presentation today went very well. My frist experience as a project leader is over but i've learn alot from it!

3 weeks left...

There's only 3 weeks left in school and i feel like i have everything under control and even our project seems go go as we planned. We will print the brochures and pamphlets in about a week and it's just some text editing which need to be done. This is the front page...

We do drink alot of coffee

We got an assignement today showing some statistic we illustrate ourselfs. I did mine really quick as it's not an especially important assignement which we wont get a grade on. So i choosed to show how much coffee a kilo a normal citizen of a country drink.

So I had some stuff i needed to be done this week and i did it all yesterday. It's so weird how slow pase this program have. We had 2 weeks off for Easter and now there's only 4 weeks left before summer break. You would think we would be busy now but nope! I'm 100% sure it will be alot harder and a much higher pase next year...

One of the assignements this week was to make ourselfs beautiful in photoshop. This is how pretty i couls look without wrinkles and flaws... Honestly i look abit plastic...

We got 7 expressions to illustrate with a photo. These are mine and Fanny's. It's not a good resolution but the teacher wanted only 150 kB á picture which really is nothing. Notice our knowledge photo; it's those little post-it's i used for teaching Chris swedish.

My groups poster

My project groups poster for the SEB bank is going to be handed in tomorrow allong with a report. I thought we were done with everything but apperently someone forgot alot of files in school and i'm the only one left in the city now so i have to go there to fix it. I wasn't ever that happy with our poster and is starting to fell extremely tired of "saving pigs".
Anyway i had a really nice Saturday night with the girls. Helen had made Taco pie and the rest of us brought snacks, dessert and vegetables.

A flyer

This is what my group came up with when we got the assignement to do a poster and a flyer for (against) sharkfinning. We thought people woudn't really care so much for the sharks and instead of showing how they are slowly dying when people cut of their finn we showed dogs and cats slowly dying by the same procudure. My group are doing the presentation right now as i'm lying in bed feeling sorry for myself. I hate being sick especially when there's no one to take care of me...

(These two are on the same paper but on different sides. You have to foled it open to view all the 4 type designers. This style is called "a gateway" because page 2 and 7 ar gates to 3- 6. Tricky? yepp it was tricky for make too!)

I know i've been writing alot about schoolwork here lately but to be honest there isn't too much else going on in my life right know. Our latest project is to create a poster and a pamphlet for a fictional exhibition at the working museum in Norrköping. The exhibition is called "det tryckta ordet" - the printed word - and is about the history of typography. We can do how ever we want but the pamphlet has to include 3-4 type designers and have some visible connection with the poster.
I've really liked this projekt! I can already notice a big difference in the way i'm thinking now from when i started this education.

Tecnical trends with focus on color and shape. Thin, round, black&white, rainbow, personalize and minimalistic. Hope my trendboard shows these trends well...

Mood- and colorboard done!

This is my idea for future cellphones. My research showed that what people (16-18 year olds) want is a black/white cellphone but with something more personal. So i thought why not have an illustration on the backside to make it more unique? The feeling i wanne create is the personal touch and unique style every individal have and want. The color is going to work for girls and boys and all season. I didn't want too strong colors and only as details for a more discrete look.

I'm making a font, wohoo! It's hard when i haven't got a ruler or any other tools... I'm cursing out loud, Chris is watching a movie on the other side of the table and doesn't notice my frustration. I'm also having a presentation about the body world exhibition tomorrow which i really should starting to prepare to...
Good thing we have cookies and chocolate balls in the house!

Some homework this week: create a advertisement for MEAT which is HEALTHY and make you EFFICIENT and show this with size.
This is what i came up with after 2h. A healthy big swedish cow which makes your body and head efficient!

Inspiration

While working on my trendboard - a collage showing the latest trends - i found these illustrations made buy the Swedish designer Cassandra Rhodin.
She has designed clothes and cushions for H&M, made illustrations for Elle and other magazines, designed wallpapers... This is a trend i will use in my work!

scored a 5 on the first exam!

Just got back the result from our exam and i scored a 5 out of 5!
I was good to get some good feedback just when the next big project is starting... Me and Fanny has been sitting with our lap tops for 6h trying to find the next trend to show in a moodboard and trendboard...I'll explain more later, it's pretty complicated to me aswell for the moment...

Car project - done!

I'm done with the car project! The last assignment was to create a magasin spread (which goes over two pages) and this is my final result! I really liked working in InDesign and creating this kind of work. The only thing left is to make a presentation about it and explain why i did what did, colors, placement, text...

(I should say that i only wrote the headlines and indroduction, the rest of the text is nonsence text because it wasn't a part of the assignment)
