Sunday evening

It was so nice weather yesterday! Chris went climbing and i sunbathed in the window while listening to music and talking on the phone. Then in the evening we went home to Anastasia and her husband Tommy's place. They grilled pork tenderloin and had mushroom sauce with it. I brought a bulgur salad with orange, apricots and nuts and for dessert Anastasia had made carrot cake. Then she showed us her work shop because she's a glas artist. It was so many beautiful things and a got a ring with a glas stone that she had made. Really nice evening!

Food for the sick

Chris got sick after our trip back home on the train. He thinks it was the coughing girl behind him who caused it. Anyway i got really sick on Monday. Had fever, bad throat, body aching....I still went to work today. I was pretty weak but managed the whole day. I felt okey in the evening and made scones and tea and then broccoli soup with a feta cheese cream. I'm going to get better now!

Last day in Strömstad

Our last day in Strömstad turned out really good. The weather was perfect and we ate herring lunch in the sun. Line came and took a coffee with me in the garden. I was very pleased with our stay. I got to spend time with my familly, meet my cousin and her husband, have a drink with Moa, coffee with Line and of course see Johannas wedding. Ad nice weather, good food and wine to that and you understand why we were very happy with our mini-vacation!

The Åhlin family

I don't know if we're a normal family or not but this is what we like to do on a Sunday with not too good weather. We bring a picnic and hike to a mountain. On the mountain there's a tower. We climb the tower (Magnus is carrying Isa) and eat our food on the top. It's very windy but we've decided to eat right there. The view is very nice though and we have a perfect look-out over Norway and the canal between the two countries. I love these kinds of spontaneous trips, just not sure my boyfriend do ;p

Johannas wedding

On the way through church

First kiss as husband and wife

Outside the church with the bridesmaids (Robin's sisters)

The most beautiful bride!

Johanna's beautiful back

Johanna and Robin went from the church to the party in an horse carriage

The party was located in an old barn

Ingrid & her date

Elin & Anna

My friend Johanna who i've known for at least 10 years got married yesterday to her Robin. Me and Johanna really became good friends while training high jumping together i Karlstad. We've been keeping contact since then and me and Chris have visited her and Robin both in Uppsala and Grebbestad were their parents are living. The wedding was really nice starting with the ceremony in the church and then moved on to a barn with food, speeches and dancing. Johanna and Robin looked really happy and i wish them all the best. It was nice taking to all of her friends whom i never been meeting before, just herd several stories about.
Oh i just have to mention that Chris happened to sit next to the guy who's sister travelled with Philip last year in the States. She had been staying with both Chris' brother and parents. It's a small world!

Sunbathing, Go Kart, pizza, pie and football

Happy Chris after climbing for 5 hours, now ready for Go Karting

5 guys racing eachother...

The making of the pie

It's been a gorgeous sunday in Lycksele and i've been laying in the park while Chris and some guys from work went climbing. We all decided to go Go Karting after which was fun (even though i was just a passenger to Chris). Chris had made some fantastic pizza's and i made a rhubarb pie for dessert. Then all 6 of us watched the world cup final. Good thing we just got our new furnitures. A really great Sunday!

Different dinner

Bought a 6 kilos watermelon today and ate a whole bowl of it for dinner. Great thing about being a grown-up is that no one can tell you what to do; if i want to eat watermelon for dinner i can. Yum!

Sunday

at the mine

drinking wine and eating strawberrys while watching soccer

eating at Ansia restaurant

The weather wasn't great today so we took the car to Chris mine. He showed us his work and drove us to different places which contained gold or might conatin gold. We also visited Pauträsk so my parents gor an idea of where he used to live. My dad was concerned about getting home in time for the England - Germany game which turned out to be a really great one, even though none of us really cheered for neither team. We went out eating to celebrate my parents 25 years wedding anniversary before we headed back for the next game. My parents are leaving tomorrow for a couple of days of tracking in the mountains but they'll return here for a night before heading back to Strömstad.

Midsummer celebrations

Tons and tons of good food

the salmon and herring table was popular

The baltic sea the next morning

We had a fantastic midsummer gathering at one of Moa's familly's friends garden. Moas mum and two other women had made fantastic food, so nice. After dinner they played guitarr, accordion and sang while the rest of us was dancing around the midsummer pole. God i wish i could have captured Chris face when he (and the rest of us) had to dance "small frogs" which is a traditional midsummer song where you jump around as frogs singing waving your hands as ears and tale. Good times. My photos aren't great as i remembered to take some when the sun had set and the food had been eaten. At least it give you an idea of how nice we had.

Prom

I worked, for the 5th year in a row, at the high school prom. It was fun especially as i got to serve my brother (a couple of extra bears). I'm leaving for London in about 5h and i should really sleep now but i'm, as always when i'm going to fly, very excited. Maybe just to see Chris after way to many weeks apart!
