Books and games!
School officialy started today. We had the first real classes and got some litterature. The two books are the biggest ones i've ever owned! The biggest is about 3400 pages. It's really heavy carrying around these big rocks! It was amazing we got them for free though. It's not very common but i guess the pharmacy program is richer then most.
After school we had some games and stuff to do. It's very seriuos and i will be extremely bizzy these couple of weeks going to school and then participate in all the crazy stuff in the evenings. I won a competition today though over 150 poeple! We had two balloon tied around each foot and the goal was to step on the others. It was so tireing! I was so exhausted after!

Saturday
I had a great day yesterday training, having coffee and just hanging out in the sun. In the evening we went to Naida's place were we ate cake, popcorn and drank wine. Her sister Amila and friend Johanna visited. Johanna is a former track&fielder aswell, a really talented one, and it was crazy how many friends we had in common. Sha had brought her dog Enzo with her which was adorable and the center of everyones attention! Great night!

Friday night
Elin second from the left, Sara and the two girls from New Zealand on the sides
I mentioned that run into an old friend on the street yesterday. We used to train together in Strömstad ages ago. Sha had been on an exchange year in Holland were she met these girls. Two of them were from New Zealand and i always get really excited about anything which has to do with that country. So i joined them for a couple of hours before they went out. I went home just to find out that my parents car had broken down and they weren't able to make it. They will come next weekend and i just have to survive without furnitures until then.

I gotta a feeling...
I know it's too early to say anything but; i have a really really good feeling about the program, the university and the city. I did found out today that i only have to stay in Uppsala for 3,5 years and can do the rest abroad. Me and Jenny is already starting to plan were we can go for an exchange and America wouldn't be bad...
On the way home i bounced in to an old friend from Strömstad. She was just in the city to show some friends from Holland and New Zealand around. I got invited to them later but can't stay out long because my parents will come late tonight after driving the whole day from Strömstad. It's so incredible nice of them to always help me move things to Karlstad and back, to Norrköping and back, to Lycksele and now to Uppsala....

So far so good
Just had my first day in school which basicly just was an information day. They were talking about the program in general, international exchange, jobs etc. They were also talking about everything you can do on your free time when you want to meet people with the same interests. It's soooo much! Uppsala is the oldest student city in the nordic countries and the main university building was grounded 1477, 15 years before Colombus discovered America (just to give you a perspective). It's acctually rated among the top 100 universities in the world...
Anyway i met two ex-track&field girls who are gonna study in my class! They used to compete against one of my best friend Emma, small country eh?
We're gonne study 4 courses this semester and i'm worried about the math course because it was a long time ago i studied that. Also they will make it pretty hard so people "thin out". But as i said so far so good!

My home for now
This is were i'm going to live the first semester in Uppsala. I'm going to share it with Frida who normally lives there with her boyfriend. It's a very nice apartmnet but it's abit far away from my school. It's 4km and takes about 15-20 min on my bike. I couldn't do it for too long but i'll be alright for the first 4 months.
School starts tomorrow, wish me luck!
Back to training
Me and Hanna biked to the school yesterday to check it out. Then we checked out the training complex. It's huge! Or acctually there are two of them run by the same owners. We got so excited about all the different classes, ball games, gym facilities etc. There's a really nice climbing wall and a bouldering area so Chris has something to do while visiting. I haven't trained at all during the summer and now i want to do everything! We are going to try "body toning" in an hour. Weird name really but it might be fun!

So tired
After 10,5h on 2 buses and a train i finally arrived to Uppsala. I had one 75 litres back pack, a rucksack on the front, one bag on wheel and my big hand bag containing my computer and camera. The bags bumbed into everything, people were staring and i was sweating. Great.
Johanna and Robin were meeting me at the train station and the plan was to drive to the apartment but they had managed to get the car locked up in the garage. So the 3 of us walked for 1h with all my bags (we went quite a bit wrong...). Anyway i returned here to a very nice apartment.
Frida, the girl who i'll be living with is in croatia for the moment but will return next week. I'm so ready for bed now.
Slept incredible bad the whole night. Woke up every hour from 2am and thought chris were gone.
By the way; thank you all for the comments, it's fun to read!

Happy birthday Chris!
Chris got these photo collages from his mum today. One for every year in his life. She must have been working hard to do it. So funny to watch! These are just a few if you want to see all 30 click here: http://gallery.me.com/careylgordo#100016 . Thanks Eileen!

Round tour
The mirror will hang on the wall...eventually...
75% me...(i still have half of my clothes in strömstad)
75% me...(i still have half of my clothes in strömstad)
I forgot to post photos of the apartment. This is the round tour. Some things are not done yet but over all i think we've done a good job finding things at flee markets, on sales and for a good price! I love paintings. Chris hates it. We've been compromising (I still thinks it looks way to bare and he probably thinks it looks abit too girly).
